 Anyone born after January 1, 1966 must have a hunter safety certificate.

All hunters must purchase a Wyoming Conservation Stamp/Archery permit.  The cost is $12.50 for the conservation stamp and $30.00 for the archery permit. This can be purchased on the Wyoming Game and Fish website or at Hardware Hanks in Douglas, Wyoming.

Deposits:

If you are unsuccessful drawing a Wyoming license we will refund your deposit.  Deposits will be refunded up until August 10th if you are unsuccessful with the draw. Personal checks, money order, and certified check will be accepted for initial deposits only. These need to be made out to J.J or Connie Werner.  However the balance due on the hunt must be paid with cash, money order, or cashier’s check upon arrival.

Transportation to the Ranch:

  • Once you are booked and have drawn your hunting license. We will send you information on your hunt and directions to the ranch.
  • The two closest airports are Casper (2 hours away) and Denver International Airport (4.5 hours away).  
  • We do not provide transportation to or from the airport.

While on Your Hunt:

  • Transportation during your hunt is provided. We will provide transportation to blinds, to the meat processors, and any other necessary travel.

Things You Will Need:

  • Everyone hunting during a rifle season needs fluorescent orange hat or vest
  • Due to the climate in Wyoming it is suggested that you bring a wide variety of hunting clothing. Temperatures range from 20 degrees with snow to 90 degrees.
  • Hunter's Safety Card (if applicable)
  • Reading material for antelope bow hunters. 
  • Warm coat
  • Flashlight
  • Ammunition or arrows
  • Bow or rifle
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug repellant
  • Binoculars
  • Camera
  • 2 way radio
  • All archery hunters need to have their own urine bottle.
  • We provide lemonade, tea, milk, and water. Any other beverages need to be purchased before arriving at the ranch.
  • DO NOT FORGET YOUR WYOMING HUNTING LICENSE!

Additional Information:

  • Arrival time for your hunt will be after 2pm the day before your hunt. Departure time is before 10 am the day after your hunt.
  • The ranch is located 33 miles north of Douglas.
  • The cabin is located at the mountain ranch 45 miles south of Douglas.
